Katherine has been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years and continues to be inspired and humbled by the practice. Katherine earned her RYT-200 at the Yoga Shala, Ridgefield, CT, in 2015. She is fortunate for the many teachers with whom she has studied and continues to study. Katherine recently graduated as a certified Ayurvedic Health Practitioner Program through New World Ayurveda. It is her passion and honor to offer this ancient and healing practice to her community. Katherine draws from her life experiences in motherhood, travel and nature, as well as her knowledge in pranayama, meditation, and Ayurveda, to inspire her classes.
I came to yoga in my late teens after I suffered a back injury while competing in hurdles on my high school track team. I found relief and strength enhancement by adding yoga to my running workouts. Years later, I fell in love with the ashtanga method. In addition to completing my 200-hour teacher training under Val Schneiderman, I am a certified holistic nutrition coach and a certified running coach through the Road Runners Club of America. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach anyone who comes to my classes.
Cheryl is a highly educated Yoga teacher with nearly 40 years of self practice and self study. She holds certifications as a Yoga Teacher, a Professional Yoga Therapist, a TAIJIFIT Flow and Strength Instructor, a Thai Yoga Body Therapist, and she is also an ordained Minister and an AAMET certified Energy Healer, and a Board Certified Holistic Health Consultant certified by the Association of Drugless Practitioners.
Lisa received her RYT 200 hour yoga alliance certification through Ohra Wellness after leaving her career in hotel management behind to care for her first born. With 15 years of self practice and her hospitality background, Lisa creates and holds a comfortable and relaxing space while challenging her students through creative sequences. Lisa enjoys guiding mothers-to-be through their prenatal yoga journey, as well as focusing on regaining strength and postnatal wellness. Lisa continues expanding her yoga practice and education for her own knowledge and to share it with fellow yogis.
Elin started Ballet lessons at age 3 and has been dancing ever since. She went on to study other styles of dance including Jazz, Lyrical, Theater Dance, Highland Dance, Latin, Ballroom, Pole Dance and Bellydance. In 2008 Elin started practicing yoga and it became an important complement to her dancing - each discipline improving the other. Intrigued by the concept of combining elements of dance, yoga and aerial arts, she decided to try aerial fitness. Her feet left the ground and it was love at first flight! Elin enjoys the feeling of freedom that aerial fitness provides and is happy to share her love of being upside down. Elin is an Om Factory Certified Aerial Yoga Instructor, 200HR RYT Vinyasa Yoga Instructor, Fly Gym Aerial Fitness® Instructor/Master Trainer, Climb&Spin® Pole Dance Instructor and LaBlast® Ballroom Fitness Instructor. Elin is the founder of Luna Aerial™ - Aerial Yoga/Hammock Fitness teacher training program.
David is currently performing fitness and yoga instruction in both group and private settings utilizing his extensive health and fitness education, certifications, and experience. His fitness specialties include yoga, cross fitness-style training, weight training, aerobic fitness, sport-specific training and nutritional counseling. David has worked alongside many professionals in the fitness field including yogis, physical therapists, medical doctors, sport competitors, and nutritionists to follow his commitment to lifelong learning. David’s custom designed fitness programs incorporate your fitness goals, abilities, and lifestyle with a focus on encouraging clients to reach new exercise goals.
Emma has been practicing yoga since 2014. She was in college and had begun running and doing yoga afterwords, but that soon turned into skipping the running and going straight to doing yoga! She got her 200 HR teacher certification in 2018 at Three Sisters in NYC. She loves being able to make yoga fun and accessible for anyone and she is excited to be able to share yoga with anyone who wants to learn!
Suzanne is a 200 hr RYT Yoga Alliance certified instructor, with additional training in Yin Yoga, and enjoys teaching Slow Flow, Vinyasa, and Restorative practices, in addition to Yin. She is fascinated in cutting edge research in fascia and connective tissue and believes a mind body connection and movement are integral to healthy gene expression. Her non-judgmental and caring approach, as well as her focus on a mindfulness based practice, make her classes inclusive and beneficial for all, regardless of experience.
